拼音是中華人民共和國官方頒佈的漢字注音拉丁化方案，於1955年-1957年文字改革時被原中國文字改革委員會（現國家語言文字工作委員會）漢語拼音方案委員會研究制定。該拼音方案主要用於漢語普通話讀音的標註，作為漢字的一種普通話音標。1958年2月11日的全國人民代表大會批准公佈該方案。
