伊斯蘭教六大信仰之一，阿拉伯語的意譯。中國穆斯林稱為“聖人”。伊斯蘭教認為先知是直接領受真主啟示，能作出預言的人。使者是有明證和教律，負有真主委以專門使命的人。先知和使者都是人，不是崇拜的物件。先知與使者沒有區別，卻有不同的品級。按照伊斯蘭教經學家的解釋，從阿丹開始到穆罕默德為止，歷史上各地區、各部族中都曾出現過先知。
