洗錢

洗錢（Money Laundering）是將非法資金放入合法經營過程或銀行賬戶內，以掩蓋其原始來源，使之合法化的行為。主要指將違法所得及其產生的收益，透過各種手段掩飾、隱瞞其來源和性質，使其在形式上合法化。洗錢常與經濟犯罪、毒品交易、恐怖活動及黑道等重大犯罪有所關聯，也常以跨國方式進行。 狹義的洗錢是指為了掩蓋犯罪收入的真實來源和存在。廣義的洗錢除了狹義的洗錢含義外，還包括把合法資金洗成黑錢用於非法用途、把一種合法的資金洗成另一種表面也合法的資金、把合法收入透過洗錢逃避監管。 “洗錢”一詞的來源為二十世紀初犯罪者艾爾卡彭，他因為經營投幣式洗衣店將非法所得的贓款透過手段成為合法收入，後來便將此種行為簡稱做洗錢。
