預付款

預付款是買方在交易合同簽訂後即向賣方支付一定金額的預付款。此方式不利於買方，一般在交易貨物供不應求時採用。買方要負擔商業風險、積壓資金，實際上是向賣方提供信貸; 而賣方在發貨前就收到貨款，有利於資金週轉，也無商業風險。預付款有兩種情況： 一種是作為進口商執行合同的保證，通常稱為定金，預付的期限短，佔交易金額的比重不大; 另一種是進口商對出口商提供信貸，預付期限較長，金額較大。
