街市

街市也稱墟市，是一種相對於超級市場的傳統市場，通常在一個社群中會有一個。它所販賣的商品主要是各式各樣新鮮的蔬菜、尚未宰殺的雞、魚等等，除此之外，在這之中，也可能有餐飲店、雜貨店、服飾店等商店坐落於其中。部份的傳統市場新年前會賣年貨（年宵），在夜晚則會變成夜市。傳統市場販賣的食材新鮮，且可讓人殺價或要求贈品，所以廣受家庭主婦所喜愛，主婦們通常於白天在此購買接下來一兩天做菜時所需要的食材。
